10km Road & Beach Run

The 10km urban and beach run is one of the most popular disciplines of the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge and attracts over 1000 athletes. The Route follows a combination of suburban roads, wooden walkways and jeep tracks to reach the turnaround point on the beach at Robberg Corner. The return route follows sections of the beach and suburban roads before reaching the Finish line via the Beacon Island pedestrian bridge.

15km Surfski Paddle

The surfski for single and double surfskis will start and finish at Central Beach. The course distance is measured to be 15km – however the exact route will be determined on the day depending on  wind and sea conditions.

1 Mile Ocean Swim

The 1 Mile Ocean Swim starts and finishes on Central Beach. Participants are required to do two laps around the buoys (rounding buoy with left shoulder) in the bay area. After two laps participants must exit the water to reach the Finish line.

5 km Ocean Swim

The swim starts on the beach in Robberg Corner and finishes at Central Beach. Traditionally the race is started with participants touching the rock at beach end from where they must head out through the surf to round a buoy (left shoulder) before following the shore line north, parallel to the beach as marked by a series of buoys to round Beacon Island to reach the finish on Central Beach.

Sabrina Walk

The Sabrina Walk is an approx. 5km long Fun Walk along the beach. Walkers start at Central Beach at the same time as the 5km Ocean Swimmers start at Robberg Beach End. Turnaround point is a lovingly decorated WISHING WELL – leaving your Sabrina shell in the wishing well will bring you luck guaranteed. The walk back to the Finish is parallel to the swimmers and walkers will be back to welcome the Ocean Swimmers to the Finish Line.

The third day’s events are hosted by the Kurland Polo Estate, with its manicured grounds, will once again be draped in Sabrina pink, which beautifully contrasts the lush backdrop of the Tsitsikamma mountain range.
